There's nothing like fresh raw homemade saurkraut to pile up..
🕑 Added 2021-09-15 05:00:48 +0000 UTC There's nothing like fresh raw homemade saurkraut to pile up on a luscious Ruben sandwich...so let's make some in a jar! I'm using a half gallon jar because I love it so much! So healthy too! We need to get back to eating more raw probiotic-rich natural fermented foods as our ancestors did. I added green tomatoes and purple onion for some color and flavor. You can grab these handy kits at big box or grocery stores, or get a fancy crock set up like grandma used to use. My grandmother also had a kraut cutter similar to the one pictured. For small quantities, a good sharp knife does the job just fine. 😋💞 Now we wait a few days...
