Just got an email back from Twitter regarding the state of my account...
Unfortunately, it will not be able to be restored. However, I will be trying my best to start a new twitter account as soon as possible, most likely under a slightly different name!
This is a set-back, but not the end of the world! I'll be back to posting on twitter as soon as I can :)
