🕑 Added 2023-09-09 16:46:25 +0000 UTC Well, the poll results are in and it seems that most of you guys do love the travel series part of my page! So I will continue 😁 I thought maybe it's time to take you guys back to my roots...even though I grew up in America, I spent part of my childhood in China. I visited China every few years since, and of course, it "grew up" way faster than I could keep up. For anyone who is an immigrant, you might understand me when I say that the place that was your home, feels more foreign as time passes. Eventually, you realize that home is where you create your own community, not necessarily where your roots are. Here is a photo of an area just outside of Beijing. You can see a section of the Great Wall behind me with fall colors 😍 This photo was taken in 2017.
