Sending love to the black community and anyone being affected by what’s going on. It looks to me like the world is finally waking up, and we can’t move forward until these issues are addressed. I’ve talked already about feeling different and out of place in society, and so many people in the black community have felt that way and worse. It’s for that reason that I have been drawn to the community my entire life. The systemic racism has always been extremely clear to me and I was confused that more was not being done to reverse it. This is not about silencing the pain of other races, genders, humans-this is not a time to feel threatened. This is a time to finally drop our armor and listen to the words being shared everywhere. Black lives matter and black is beautiful. I hope this unifies us all one step further and we can learn more about the struggles of our neighbors.
