All the drivers are very pleasant and treat us with drinks and food without speaking English at all, which doesn’t bother us since we didn’t speak English at that moment either. So we set up a tent right on the beach and enjoyed the sea and new fruits. The cozy beach of Songkhla, there are no waves at all, the ebb and flow of the tides are not felt, because this is not the open sea but the Gulf of Thailand at the opposite side of Thailand, but the sand is as soft as in Phuket. There are expensive hostels and there is no couchsurfing, no tourists at all and only students around, so for three days before Malaysia we will live here in a tent, visiting two cafes every day, one in the morning and another in the evening, since these are the only places in the town that have wifi. Apparently it’s the rainy season now and even looking at the street light in the night you see that it’s raining, but when you stretch out your hand you simply don’t feel it because it’s so hot here that it evaporates before reaching you.
