🕑 Added 2023-08-24 17:34:19 +0000 UTC We went camping this week to a new area for us by Telluride with our three pups in our van and boy it was a little bit of a trip 😂. 5 hours in the car with three pups to get to the bumpiest road (one of our doggos has awful car anxiety so he thought he was gonna die) and we found a gorgeous camp site. However we didn’t realize how muddy the water next to the camp site was and our dogs were wet and muddy since Tuesday morning 🤭 Yesterday we enjoyed an easy morning with campfire biscuits and gravy with a cast iron pizza around noon and played with the pups. We decided to then go on a 7 mile hike, poorly prepared 😂 and after 2 hours of incline hiking we made it to this incredible alpine lake. It proceeded to downpour on our way back and when we got to camp we let our dogs out again to get rained on 😂 I made us some walking tacos and we looked at each other and just realized we were wet, cold, sore- and the dogs looked exhausted. So we packed up in the rain to find a hot shower, some French fries, and a dry bed for the night. We’re on our way back home with three muddy and sleepy pups. This was the first time we camped that we didn’t film anything, that we didn’t fuck outside, and that we’re coming home pretty dang tired. But that’s how it goes sometimes right? We’ve all had camping experiences that were not super relaxing, warm, or even fun at times- but I am truly grateful to have a partner that is on the same page with it and neither of us will guilt either of us into staying in shit. Excited to get home, take a nap, and reconnect tonight to see what you’ve been up too ❤️
