i just finished sewing the last piece of my cosplay and omg i can’t stop smiling 🥰 cosplay is so much more to me than just dressing up..
the process of creating a costume feels like real meditation and a replacement for therapy.. nothing distracts me during this time, and i have so much space to think about everything that’s been on my mind for so long!!
the photoshoot in costume is the moment where all that built-up energy finally gets released, letting me feel like a completely new version of myself (i think many people do something similar, whether it’s punching a boxing bag, singing into a microphone, dancing, etc).
