It ended with us walking underground into one of the deepest cenotes I’ve been to, where we cleansed ourselves in the virgin water (water not ever touched by the sun) amidst the sacred darkness. Candles were lit all throughout the cenote as we swam, made our offerings, and the beautiful Mayan couple played their ancestral music. I’m so wildly grateful for the medicine and the precious humans of these lands who share their hearts, I can only bow in gratitude, smile, and of course support them. I apologized before we walked deeper into the jungle if we saw any snakes. I said “It’s probably my fault if we do, I attract them a lot.” And the shaman said, “It’s because you carry the medicine.” Mi corazón está lleno.💚
