Someone said Gold on me looks very good and that is where the inspiration for this video came from. I am African born and while my people back home will say I have become too Westernized they will also say without a doubt that I have taken them with me. So for this video I went with a gold body paint since I couldn't find yellow which was what I was wanting (Yellow means old bones, it means a person a man has lived his life and would fight to the finish) and I think in the last couple of years trying to remain soft in pain, fighting to the finish in my last relationship to make sure I am heard was important so I went with yellow, in this case gold haha. . Body/Face painting have been used in Africa for several years. It is more than a beautifying practice. Different colours are used to convey several emotions pain, joy, warmth, warrior/survivor and body paintings may be undertaken during courting, for weddings (mating), for childbirth and an indication of age.
