I experienced an earthquake in Bangkok today.
I was in a cafe when the shaking hit. it lasted about 30 seconds, and at first, I thought the cafe was… floating?? it felt like I was on a boat. for a moment, I seriously thought the cafe was on water… or, something like a giant air mattress lol
people panicked, ran outside — I followed after a moment. the city after was chaotic — metro stopped, streets blocked, people sitting outside with luggage, evacuations happening.
it’s surreal, and the news is full of updates.
but I’m safe.
hoping there’s no more tonight.
